eport.2This digital presentation of my academic capstone is a showcase for tangible accomplishments during my master’s studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) and demonstrates my academic acumen in information science. Communications is a conspicuous theme of this ePortfolio, as I agree with scholars who contend that communication gives meaning to information, without which it has no value. Prior to this program, I was involved with transforming information, or bits of data if you will, into knowledge. Within an information science framework, I can now transfer those skills to address information needs in any environment.

I hold a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs & Policy from University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS), a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a specialization in Marine Science from Boston University, and anticipate receiving a Master of Science in Information Sciences from UTK in May 2016.
